ROLLOUT RECOVERY

Before you write it off, find out what's actually wrong.

Most stalled implementations fail on structure, data, or adoption rather than on the platform. Knowing which one you have determines whether this is a fix or a rebuild.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Designed for leaders responsible for operational and financial performance.

Blue futuristic light beams with hexagon pattern on a dark background.

Programmes that stalled mid-build

The partner left, the sponsor changed, or the scope grew until nobody could finish it.

Models that went live and nobody uses

Technically complete, practically abandoned. Usually a structure or trust problem rather than a training one.

Platforms that never earned their licence

Paid for, partially deployed, and quietly under review at every budget cycle.

THE CURRENT CHALLENGE

The first advice most people get after a failed implementation is to start again. It's the easy recommendation, it's expensive, and it confirms the fear that the original investment was wasted. Sometimes it's right. More often the model is closer to working than anyone still believes.

HOW WE DO IT

Assess honestly, then fix what's actually broken.

THE DIAGNOSIS

What's salvageable, and what isn't.

We look at structure, data, and usage before recommending anything. Hierarchies that don't match the business, a model that's outgrown its engine, and a process nobody was trained on are three different problems with three different answers. You get a straight read, including if the answer is that a rebuild is genuinely warranted.

THE RECOVERY

Working first, complete second.

The priority is getting your team using the model, not finishing the original scope. That usually means a narrow set of fixes and a live cycle run alongside the people who'll own it. Once something works, the conversation about what else to build takes care of itself.

FAQ'S

Everything you need to know before getting started

That’s the first thing we look at. Before recommending a rebuild, we assess the model structure, data, and how it’s being used to understand what’s actually causing the problem. If starting again is the right option, we’ll say so. But in our experience, it often isn’t necessary.

Typically one to two weeks, depending on model size and how much documentation exists. You get a written read on what's working, what's holding it back, and what each option would involve.

A second opinion is always valuable. What looks like a model that needs replacing may sometimes be a structural issue that can be addressed. We take a fresh look at the model before recommending whether to improve what’s there or start again.

That's a real possibility at scale, and it's a different answer to a structural fix. Sparsity is where Classic gets expensive, and a model that's hit that ceiling needs Polaris rather than optimisation. We assess for it during diagnosis rather than discovering it halfway through a recovery.

Usually, yes. It’s a common reason for low adoption. Often, the problem isn’t training but how the model fits into the way people actually work. If the process feels difficult or disconnected from their day-to-day needs, more training can only go so far. Sometimes the model itself needs to change.

Almost always less, and often substantially. A recovery is typically weeks rather than months. The honest caveat is that we can't tell you the number before the assessment, which is why the assessment comes first.

Most clients move to a support arrangement while their team rebuilds confidence, then expand scope from there. That's what happened with the engagement above: four weeks of recovery became a support contract and then a full Polaris migration.

Our team handles the work directly. Every consultant is an EliteEPM employee, and the partner who scopes the engagement stays involved through go-live. We keep delivery within our own team, so you work with the people who understand your project from the start.

WHY ELITE EPM

We don’t do bait-and-switch consulting

Continuity is the difference between a model that survives its first planning cycle and one that doesn't. We stay focused on Anaplan, build our own specialist team, and keep senior people close to the model from the first workshop through hypercare.

All in on one platform

Anaplan is our entire business, so the platform's roadmap is our roadmap. Our team is fully certified and building on Polaris today - and they understand how businesses plan, not just how to build in the tool

Seniority where it counts

Our partners stay hands-on after the contract is signed. They shape the design, challenge decisions that won't hold up, work the difficult problems, and carry accountability through go-live.

Built for direct collaboration

You get the experience needed for complex, multi-entity work without layers of account management or subcontracted delivery teams.

Ready to get your Anaplan rollout back on track?

If your implementation has stalled, adoption is low, or the platform isn't delivering as expected, EliteEPM can diagnose what is holding it back and help you move forward.
